How do I book an appointment:

​All appointments are booked online, click on the "schedule appointment" button on the Home page.
-
A parent or a legal guardian must accompany applicants under 15 years of age.
​
What is the cost of an appointment?
-
Adult (15 yrs & over) - The cost of the appointment is $250. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to book this appointment. The remaining $200 must be paid in cash at your appointment.

Child (under 15 yrs) - The cost of the appointment is $100. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to book this appointment. The remaining $50 must be paid in cash at your appointment.

Adult CUAET (18 yrs & over) - The cost of the appointment is $125. A non-refundable deposit of $50 is required to book this appointment. The remaining $75 must be paid in cash at your appointment.

Child CUAET (under 18yrs) - The cost of the appointment is $50 and must be paid online when booking the appointment.

IFHP - No fee but must provide the required documents listed in the IFHP section below.

Furtherance - please e-mail us to book a furtherance appointment.

What documents do I need to book an appointment?
Government Issued ID - you must bring at least 1 of the following to your appointment:

Original valid passport (preferred) or a copy certified by a Canadian Visa Office

National ID Card
-
Canadian Driver’s license
-
Refugee Protection Claimant Document

Any Forms sent to you by the Immigration office, such as the IMM1017e form.

​
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
In addition to your passport/ government ID, please bring the following (if available):

All prescriptions in their bottles
-
Any previous medical reports from significant illnesses

​​What if I am a refugee claimant?
All costs for refugee claimants are covered by the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) provided you have one of the following documents:
-
Refugee Protection Claimant Document (RPCD) – IMM 1442
-
The Interim Federal Health Certificate (IFHC) – IMM 5695
-
Acknowledgement of Claim and Notice to Return for Interview (AOC) – IMM 5985

You must bring your IFHP documents to your appointment.

​
​What tests are required?​
-
Clients 15 years and older require a blood and urine test.
-
Clients 5-14 years of age require a urine test.
-
Clients 11 years and older require a chest x-ray.
​
Are the tests completed at the doctor's office?
No, the tests are completed at separate clinics and they charge their own fee.

X-ray test information:
-
The doctor will provide you with a test requisition at your appointment.
-
X-Rays are completed at KMI X-Ray and Ultrasound at 836 John Marks Ave, K7K 0J7.
-
This is a walk-in clinic, no appointment needed.
-
They are open Mon-Fri 8am-5pm.
-
The cost of the x-ray is $80 and payment methods accepted are debit or cash.

​Blood/Urine test information:

The doctor will provide you with a test requisition at your appointment.
-
Fasting is NOT required for this appointment.
-
The cost of blood and urine tests are $99, the cost of a urine test only is $38 and payment methods accepted are debit, credit, or cash.

Blood/urine tests can be completed on the day of your appointment at Lifelabs at 255 Bagot St, K7L 3G4 for a walk-in appointment, no appointment required.

You can pre-book your appointment at Lifelabs at 791 Princess St, Unit 102, K7L 1E9 but please request a time 45 minutes after the start of your medical exam appointment.

​Do you provide me with a document as proof of my medical exam for my application?

You will be given a copy of your Information Sheet with your case number and picture on it.
-
You will enable you to track your progress through the system on the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website with the case number.
-
If you are working with a lawyer or consultant you must provide them with a copy of your Information Sheet.
